About THE ARTISTS

Artists Luis Luna & Kathy Smith are the creators of Orbedonna artworks. Often both artists will work within one painting to produce the final vision. Orbedonna is a combination of their mothers’ names.

Luis Luna creates ethereal abstracts that have layers of depth as well as textural visions using natural materials. His creations are inspired by his love for music. Luis designs & builds the framing that accompanies the art and that often becomes indistinguishable from the art.

Luis began his creative journey in Guatemala where he was inspired by the textures and colors of the cultures and the landscape. 

Kathy Smith began her artistic explorations as a child in East Texas, inspired by her aunts who were artists.   She received a bachelor of fine arts  from SMU & worked as an interior designer & art consultant. Upon engaging once again with artistic expression, she creates abstract & expressionistic art with an emphasis on color & texture.

COLLABORATIVE COMMISSIONS
We welcome commissions of all sizes and like to work in collaboration with the client to create a work that goes beyond initial requests. We want our clients to feel a true affinity with the work we create. Tweaks to the composition are welcome until it is something you cannot live without.
